So Valentines Day is tomorrow and whether you're going on a date with that special someone or just hanging with your friends on Valentines day these makeup goodies are gorgeous for a 'date night' look. There is most definitely a pink theme going on here, and they can either all be worn together or just a few of these products to create a gorgeous, subtle date night look.
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette: As a makeup lover/blogger I swear by the Naked Palettes, and I don't think I give Naked 3 enough love- so I thought it would be perfect for a date night because the shadows are very subtle with gorgeous pink undertones. Personally; I wouldn't want to go for a seriously smokey eye (check out my alliteration there) so the Naked 3 is perfect- but that's just personal opinion. I would probably take 'Limit' and 'Nooner' in my crease and then pat 'Dust' or 'Burnout' onto the lid to add a bit of glitter to the look and to brighten the eyes (I wonder who comes up with those names- like seriously?!) Also, if like me, you have brown eyes then this palette is perfect as pinks/purples really make brown eyes pop according to the wonders of Google.Benefit Lipgloss 'Life on the A List': If you're going out for a meal or such like; the last thing you'll want to worry about is whether or not your red lipstick is on point- so a nude lip gloss is perfect as it's so easy to touch up without a mirror and it isn't so obvious when it wears away after a few drinks! I chose this Benefit one as it smells and tastes delicious (I'm know having visions of someone eating it by the spoonful, but you know what I mean!). Other cheaper alternatives could include Tanya Burr 'Chic' as her lip glosses are gorgeous.
Benefit 'High Beam' Highlighter: A highlighter is ESSENTIAL on a night out- it can really enhance your cheek bones and add some shape to your face. Benefit are definitely one of my favourite brands for highlighters, and High Beam would be perfect paired with a subtle blush such as 'MAC Eternal Flower'. I actually only have the travel sized 'High Beam' but it certainly lasts for ages and I think I prefer the smaller bottles as they're so much easier to carry around!
MAC Blush 'Eternal Flower': I actually got hold of this blush from the 'Cosmetics Company' in Gunwharf Quays which is a discounted high end makeup store, it gives a gorgeous pink colour on the cheeks which isn't so bold that you look like you've run a marathon but gives just enough colour to give you a beautiful english rose type finish. As I said; it would work perfectly with Benefit High Beam as both give out a subtle pink tone.
Rimmel 'Wonderfull' Mascara: This mascara is currently my 'go-to' mascara- it adds a lot of volume and length to the lashes because the wand is so big. It would be perfect for a date night look as it'll make your eyes look AMAZING!
Soap & Glory SuperCat Eyeliner: And last but not least is the S&G eyeliner; for me eyeliner is a stable product in my makeup bag, especially on a night out. It can really frame the eyes and can also enhance the lashes making them look a lot fuller. I put this one in the collection because the packaging is just gorgeous- I really do love the Soap & Glory cosmetics range and it would work really well alongside the Naked 3 eyeshadows.
